Description: 
C.A.K.E. (Creative Arts At Kene) encourages campers to explore new ways to express themselves through their interest in the arts. Campers select their own classes from a long list ranging from creative writing to costuming. The last week of camp is a celebration of the visual and performing arts. Campers will display their visual art creations in an art exhibit. Performances will be presented at the Colonial Theatre and the MoCo Blackbox Theatre. Festival Week is the perfect way for campers to share their talents with their families!

The 4 day sessions costs $125. Field Trips will be taken to local entertainment spots such as; Fun Spot in Laconia, Grafton Cheese Company, Simon Pearce Glass Blowing Factory, Mini Golfing, Hiking Trips, local ice cream shops, Swiming areas, and Petting Zoos.

Description: 
Stories from the Heart: African American Folktales & Slave Narratives

Using readings, traditional and digital storytelling, research, and writing participants will learn to tell a story and create an electronic version of their oral story.  Participants will learn some minimal editing using MovieMaker and Audacity. The culminating activity will be a celebration when participants will tell their story as well as present their digital creation.
